FoxSports: History was finally going to be made on Saturday, but Jennifer Welter had to wait an extra two and a half quarters before the moment arrived.

For the first time ever, a woman was playing running back in a men’s professional football game.

The 36-year-old Women’s Pro Football veteran made her debut with the Indoor Football League’s Texas Revolution this weekend after signing to try out for the team last month.

The Revolution cruised to a 64-30 win over the North Texas Crunch, but Welter wasn’t able to find the end zone.

Inside the 5-yard line midway through the third quarter, she took the handoff from the quarterback and saw a wide open hole, but that gap closed quickly and the 5-2, 130-pounder was knocked back for a loss.

She did get up immediately and reportedly said, “I said ‘Is that all you got?'” Welter told 6-4, 245-pound Crunch defensive lineman Cedric Hearvey. “I didn’t want them to think I was intimidated.”

Right. She definitely doesn’t have concussion or anything.

First of all, I’ve seen more people at a Doherty High School football game than this one, and that was before they got good. If you can’t sell more tickets than a high school team, then I’m sorry but you’re not really a professional football team. I look around that stadium, and see about 30 or 40 people scattered around there. Tops. There’s just no way that these guys are getting paid to play. There’s no way that they don’t have to pay for their own uniforms either unless the Texas Revolution have some sugar daddy who finances all of this.

Secondly, she didn’t drop the ball, therefore she’s already better than Stevan Ridley.

A lot of people are actually blaming the coach for giving her the ball three times on the goal line. But the rumor is that she was told to go right and was just really bad with directions. This poor lady obviously doesn’t have what it takes to be a feminist pioneer. She’s told to make forward progress, and instead just starts sweeping to the left.

In all honesty though, this woman just set back feminism at least 50 years. If Susan B. Anthony was watching this she’d be so depressed that she’d put on an apron and start cleaning the kitchen. She’s obviously trying to prove a point by “crossing gender barriers”, only to prove that gender barriers are there for a reason. Look, I’m all for “equality,” but let’s stop pretending that there aren’t differences between men and women. There are. It’s science. This is a perfect of example of feminism gone wrong. We tried pretending that there aren’t physical differences that prevent women from playing football, and then BAM!!! This poor lady gets her head chopped off.

Newsflash to the feminazis: this didn’t break any gender barriers, unless gender barrier is a synonym for spine. Any woman could’ve rushed three times and got tossed around like a rag doll. Don’t get me wrong, she’s brave as shit for doing this, but this only further proves that women have absolutely no business playing Division 1 football, never mind in front of 30 people in a semi-professional league.

I was taking a class at UMass one time back when I was attempting to get a Sports Management degree, and this topic came up. The class was mostly dudes, but at a liberal haven like UMass that means that there’s a competition to see which guy can be the feminists biggest ally. The professor suggested that a woman would one day play in the NFL, NBA, NHL, and MLB. I obviously knew this wasn’t true, and found it hilarious. College professors say the darndest things. But then all these other nudniks started agreeing with it.

Someone had to bring sanity to this situation, so I explained how utterly idiotic what they were saying was. Obviously a woman cannot throw an overhand pitch 95 mph. Obviously a woman wouldn’t be able to guard Kobe Bryant. Obviously a woman can’t beat Usain Bolt in a race. Obviously a woman can’t get by a 350 pound offensive lineman and sack the quarterback. Obviously. There’s a reason we have women’s soccer, and men’s soccer. Because we’re not equal on average.

But FSR no one in class agreed with me, because in Amherst, this is sexist. It makes you a pig because you’re pointing out an obvious truth. You’re not encouraging women to get their heads knocked off in the name of gender equality like this poor lady.

And do you know who we have to blame for all of this? Bobby Riggs. In the infamous tennis showdown in 1973, at the peak of the feminazi movement, Riggs got his ass handed to him by Billie Jean King in the infamous “Battle of the Sexes.” Never mind that Riggs was significantly older than King, it turns out that the entire thing was “rigged” (no pun intended) because Riggs owed mobsters a ton of cash. Ever since then every nudnik with a Women’s Studies degree has insisted that women be able to do ANYTHING that men can.

I’m all for women playing football – as long as it’s against other women. Playing against 350 pound men doesn’t prove anything other than everything I learned in 11th grade physics class was true.

  1. IS THIS AS BAD AS LAUREN SILBERMANS ATTEMPT AT KICKING AT AN NFL REGIONAL COMBINE A FEW YEARS AGO? NEITHER OF HER TWO KICKOFFS WENT TWENTY YARDS. LMFAO WOMEN ARE 0/FOREVER WHEN IT COMES TO FOOTBALL.
